October Small Businesses of the Month
Small businesses are the heart of our communities! Here at Ruhl&Ruhl, we love to support locals and engage with the areas we serve in any way we can. So, let's help them out and spread the word about their great services!
Below are this month's featured businesses in all of our areas:
Bettendorf/Davenport: The Shameless Chocoholic has over 120 varieties of truffles, butter creams and fudge, and a large selection of sugar-free items, vintage candy, and seasonal chocolates. They also offer a wide rang of services including custom gift baskets, chocolate party trays, weddings, and more. When you are snacking on a delicious treat, make sure to visit their gift shop as well!
Burlington: Country Treasures is a southern-charm store that offers many items ranging from men and women's clothing, Corral Boots, kids' accessories/blankets, jewelry, decor, and more! If you can't make it into their store, don't worry, they offer shipping or online in-store pickup.
Cedar Rapids: Craft'd Coffee Shop in downtown Cedar Rapids not only serves locally-sourced coffee from Windmill Coffee, but also chai from the midwest, ice cream, olive oil, chocolates, and other treats. Additionally, they offer catering services and host events!
Clinton/DeWitt: The Hype Nutrition, a smoothie and juice bar that serves healthy protein shakes, coffee, and energy teas. Each day they have fun, themed drinks where you can receive a complimentary shot of aloe with any combo! Grab a loyalty card when you go to rack up on some points to get a sweet deal.
Dubuque: Sorpresa is "the ultimate destination for gelato, chocolates, and gifts". Their shop serves chocolate from Chocolaterie Sam and homemade gelato that rotates flavors weekly with gluten-free and dairy-free options available. If you aren't feeling too hungry, browse their selection of handcrafted and eco-friendly gifts from Iowa-based businesses in their shop!
Iowa City: 365 Nutrition offers smoothies and healthy energy drinks, along with tea kits fueled with antioxidants that leave you feeling good and energized! Whether you need a pick-me-up or a quick bite, the store sells protein balls and immunity drinks as well. The best part is, you can also get added to their list of stops on delivery days!
Moline: Jennie's Boxcar, located in The Rust Belt, has excellent patio seating, street tacos, and a tequila bar! They can host your event or private party, and can accommodate group orders. To keep up with any events happening, be sure to visit their Facebook page!
Muscatine: Waffle and Pancake House is a family diner that serves delicious breakfast and lunch, whether that's their pumpkin pecan roll or a BBQ roast beef sandwich. Savory or sweet, which will it be?
