Ruhl&Ruhl REALTORS is dedicated to community service, and it shows in each and every member of our organization. Each quarter, a member of our Ruhl family is recognized for their outstanding commitment to improving our communities. And as the back to school season is upon us, we wanted to take a moment to appreciate the time and effort put in by our offices to ensure that every child was prepared with supplies. Our Clinton Office applied for and received a $500.00 grant from the Iowa REALTOR Foundation, which matched funds with the Quad City Area REALTOR Association. This grant money will go directly back to the community to buy school supplies for children at Bluff Elementary in Clinton, and the agents within our office volunteered to give the supplies to children.  Another great example is our Cedar Rapids Office, which helped Raymond Siddell collect and raise money for the Families Helping Families of Iowa Back to School Drive.  Families Helping Families serves foster families, adoptive families from the foster care system, and relative placements in all 99 counties of Iowa, and Raymond currently serves as the volunteer coordinator. The drive this year had a registration list of 342 kids, plus approximately 40 kids on the waiting list. The waiting list is expected to grow to over 100 by the first day of school. Supplies and donations were collected by area businesses, and Raymond himself went out to buy stockpiles of supplies from local stores. The drive had special significance for Raymond this year. As foster parents themselves, Raymond and his husband are learning there are struggles in the system that many are not aware of. If you'd like to help out Families Helping Families, visit their website. Other local offices like the Bettendorf Office also hosted supply drives for back to school, as there is always a need in our community! If you'd like to donate school supplies in your community, bring them to a local Ruhl&Ruhl REALTOR Office, and we will pass them along to the appropriate venue!
